Terms & Conditions

For Small Group Courses and In-Company Training

Cancellation 

If you need to cancel a booking, please inform us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellations will be confirmed in writing, and the following terms apply:

  • If you cancel 2 weeks (14 days) before the course starts, you will receive a 75% refund of the course fee.

  • If you cancel 1 week (7 days) before the course starts, you will receive a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made within 1 week before the course starts or after it has begun will not be eligible for a refund. The refunded amount cannot be transferred to other courses, lessons, or products.

  • We reserve the right to cancel a course if there is insufficient demand before the specified date. In such cases, we will offer alternative courses or provide a full refund to applicants.

Conditions

All course places will be confirmed upon receipt of full fees, and payment of the tuition fee indicates acceptance of the booking terms and conditions, which are non-refundable. Unfortunately, course fees cannot be reduced if a student is unable to attend the full course. Additionally, group classes typically require a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 10 people. If a class does not reach the minimum number of participants, it may be cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled to a different day to accommodate the group size requirements. 

Amendment Charges

  • If you would like to make changes to your current bookings once the lesson has started, such as switching to a different class or course, there may be a €10 fee to cover administration costs.

  • If you are unable to continue a course after the lesson starts, refunds may not be offered, but efforts will be made to place you in a similar course. Just remember to provide at least 24 hours' notice for any changes, and be aware of the administration charges that may apply.

 

Group Trial Lessons

  • Each person is limited to one trial lesson, and if you wish to continue studying, you will need to purchase a course.

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for group course trial lessons. Additionally, if you need to reschedule, please make sure to send us a written request at least 7 days before the trial lesson date, as our teacher's schedule is already set.

Missed Lessons​​

  • If you need to stop attending your classes after they have started due to personal reasons, we are unable to provide a refund as your time has already been scheduled with our teachers. Should you wish to switch classes, we will make every effort to place you in the appropriate level, with a €10 administration fee applicable.

  • In the event that you will miss a lesson for any reason, kindly notify both the admin team and your teacher at least 24 hours in advance. The teacher will record the lesson and share it with you after class. Failure to provide 24-hour notice will result in the lesson not being recorded by the teacher.

Attendance

  • If a student fails to provide 24 hours' notice before a class (except for emergencies), the teacher will not record the session.

  • Failure to attend or notify within the specified time frame will result in the student being marked as absent.

  • Students must pass the test and maintain at least 70% attendance each term to be eligible for certificates at the term's end.

  • Participating online (live) or watching recordings will not be considered as absence.

  • In cases where students cannot attend offline classes due to commute issues or strikes: 

1) We acknowledge the varying commuting situations and maintain fixed dates for offline courses to ensure fairness.

2) Special circumstances will be addressed individually.

3) In the event that you are unable to attend in-person classes due to a strike, our teacher will record a video on that day.

4) Kindly give a 24-hour notice if you plan to join online, as your attendance will be recorded.

5) We recommend attending offline lessons for optimal learning outcomes.

Injury/ Loss of property

Students are responsible for their own personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property unless it is caused by the negligence of NiHao Chinesisch Sprachschule or its employees. It is advised to leave valuables at home. The school does not accept responsibility for events beyond its control, such as strikes, inclement weather, war, transportation delays, illness, or quarantine.

 

Gift voucher 

  • Redemption Period: Three (3) months from the date of purchase, the vouchers must be redeemed. If students do not use their vouchers within this time frame, they will become invalid.

  • Start Date of Course: The selected course term cannot begin more than three (3) months after the deadline for redeeming vouchers. For example, the redemption deadline is March 31, 2024, if the voucher was bought on January 1, 2024. Consequently, the chosen course must begin by June 30, 2024, at the latest.

  • Forfeiture: If a voucher is not used within the allotted time, it will be deemed void and there won't be any refunds or extensions given.

  • Use of vouchers: Each voucher code is limited to one user and can only be used to pay for the specified number of class hours. It is not possible to return or exchange vouchers for cash.

  • Textbook exchange: We include a beginner-level textbook (A1) with every package. Please let us know when you buy the voucher if the receiver is not a beginner, and we will provide the book that is appropriate for their language proficiency. Alternatively, if the textbook is in satisfactory shape, customers can exchange it for the appropriate level when they use their voucher.

  • International shipment: The postal cost within Germany is included in the purchase of each package. For recipients who are not in Germany, postage costs abroad are NOT included. We will bill you according to the charges given by the shipping firm if you need an international shipment.

Others

Teachers and students agree that multimedia data (such as photos and videos) may be utilized on NiHao Chinesisch Sprachschule's associated social media platforms or distribution channels (current or future) solely for marketing purposes. If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to inform us.
